The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) is thrilled to announce the grand inauguration of the 41st India International Jewellery Show (IIJS) Premiere 2025! This year's event, showcasing the captivating "Brilliant Bharat – Architecture of India" theme, promises to be a spectacular display of India's prowess in the global gem and jewellery industry.
IIJS Premiere 2025: A Dazzling Extravaganza Kicks Off in Mumbai
The 41st edition of the India International Jewellery Show (IIJS) Premiere, India's most significant B2B gem and jewellery trade show, was inaugurated today by the Hon'ble Speaker, Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, Shri Rahul Narwekar, at the JIO World Convention Centre in Mumbai. This year's show, organized by the GJEPC, is set to be the biggest ever, with ambitious targets to generate ₹70,000 crore in business over the next quarter.


The inauguration ceremony saw the presence of esteemed dignitaries including Shri Kirit Bhansali, Chairman, GJEPC; Shri Shaunak Parikh, Vice Chairman, GJEPC; Shri Nirav Bhansali, Convener-National Exhibitions, GJEPC; and Shri Sabyasachi Ray, ED, GJEPC. They welcomed notable guests like Mr. Pavel Marynichev, CEO, ALROSA, and Mr. Ajoy Chawla, CEO - Jewellery Division (and incumbent MD), The Titan Company Ltd.
A Dual-Venue Spectacle IIJS Premiere 2025 is taking place across two prominent Mumbai venues:

 * JIO World Convention Centre, Mumbai: July 30 - August 3
 * Bombay Exhibition Centre, NESCO

 Goregaon, Mumbai: July 31 - August 4
With a colossal exhibition area of 135,000 sq. mt. (1.45 million sq. ft.), the show boasts over 3,600 stalls from 2,100 exhibitors. It's expected to draw more than 50,000 visitors from 1,300 Indian cities and over 3,000 international buyers from more than 80 countries, solidifying its position as the world's second-largest gem and jewellery B2B event.
Unlocking Growth with FTAs and New Initiatives
Shri Kirit Bhansali, Chairman, GJEPC, emphasized the pivotal role of Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) in boosting the sector. He highlighted the benefits of agreements with the UAE and Australia, and expressed optimism that the recently concluded India-UK FTA will be a "game-changer," aiming to double bilateral trade in the sector to $7 billion within three years. He also unveiled new market exploration initiatives, such as SAJEX, a dedicated B2B show in Saudi Arabia, to extend India's reach into GCC, North Africa, CIS, and European regions.
Chief Guest Shri Rahul Narwekar praised the industry's growth, noting its roots in his Colaba constituency's historic Zaveri Bazaar. He underscored India's rising global economic stature and the lucrative potential of its young population for the gem and jewellery market.
Mr. Ajoy Chawla, CEO - Jewellery Division (and incumbent MD), The Titan Company Ltd., shared insights on the sector's trajectory, emphasizing the need for Indian jewellers to leverage their rich 5,000-year cultural heritage to create aspirational designs and adopt sustainable practices. He stressed the importance of a robust regulatory framework to ensure world-class quality and customer experience.

Exclusive Highlights and Industry Forward Thinking


A special highlight this year is The Select Club, an exclusive section dedicated to high-end couture jewellery. Located at the Jasmine Hall, 3rd floor, JIO World Convention Centre, this club showcases elegant designs and innovative craftsmanship from 118 exhibitors.
Shri Shaunak Parikh, Vice Chairman, GJEPC, highlighted IIJS as a vital platform for networking, facilitating connections with over 15 international delegations and 3,000 international visitors. He also encouraged participation in initiatives like IJEX in Dubai and the Innov8 Talks, which serve as platforms for seminars and product launches, offering a unique networking environment for entrepreneurs and industry leaders.
Shri Nirav Bhansali, Convener, National Exhibitions, GJEPC, reiterated GJEPC's strong commitment to sustainability. He proudly announced that the show is powered by 100% green energy, with efforts to eliminate single-use materials and significant tree-planting initiatives. The ambitious goal is to achieve complete carbon neutrality for IIJS by 2030 or 2032, with ongoing work to calculate the show's carbon footprint and implement further eco-friendly practices.
